How to chase expired Xero quotes automatically
Xero will create a quote and mark it "sent." What it won't do is follow up when the customer goes quiet. That gap is where revenue leaks.
Why Xero quotes go cold
A quote isn't a rejection — it's usually a "not yet." The customer got busy, the email sank down the inbox. Xero shows you a quote sitting at "Sent" or past its expiry, but it won't nudge anyone. So nobody does, and a winnable job dies of neglect.
The manual version (and why it fails)
You could run a weekly report of expired quotes, cross-reference who's replied, and email each one by hand. Nobody sustains that. The follow-up is exactly the job that gets dropped when you're busy — which is always.
Automating it
The fix is to connect to Xero, watch for quotes that pass their acceptance window without being accepted, and send the customer a polite, well-timed nudge — friendly first, gently firmer if it keeps sliding. You close more without lifting a finger, because the chasing happens whether or not you remember.
That's what Quote Nudge does. One secure connection to Xero, then it handles the follow-ups on your behalf. Using QuickBooks instead? Quote Nudge QB does the same for estimates.
The quotes are already in your accounting software. All that's missing is someone to chase them. Here's the maths on how much that's worth.
