Tiered pricing for EU B2B sellers: one engine, many markets
One country’s wholesale price list is a spreadsheet problem. Several EU markets’ price lists are a spreadsheet catastrophe — unless the prices come from formulas rather than files.
Why EU B2B pricing multiplies
European business customers expect prices quoted excluding VAT, in a sensible currency, on a proper price list they can hand to their purchasing department. Sell into more than one market and each relationship pulls in its own direction: different competitive pressure, different freight reality, different expectations. Handled by hand, that becomes a folder of spreadsheets nobody fully trusts.
Formulas scale where files do not
A tier engine flips the model: instead of maintaining thousands of prices, you maintain a handful of rules. An Export tier at one formula, a Distributor tier at another, attractive rounding applied automatically, and every SKU — including next month’s new ones — priced in every tier the moment it exists. Need to send a customer their list? Export their tier to CSV and it is done.
Keep the prices where the orders are
Prices synced into Linnworks as extended properties travel with the catalogue, so the tier price an EU account sees on a quote is the one the order is placed at — in the currency and with the tax label your POS is set to, if you pair it with a POS whose locale you can configure. The VAT rules themselves are your accountant’s domain, with official guidance at europa.eu; the engine’s job is consistency.
B2B Price Tiers holds the tiers and formulas; Trade Order POS can now be set to run entirely in euros with your VAT rate and label via its Locale setting. Find out more →
