Run your POS in the currency you trade in — and why that beats “multi-currency” for small business
“Multi-currency POS” sounds like the feature you need the moment you trade abroad. Usually it is not. What most small traders actually need is simpler: a POS that runs, wholesale, in the one currency their business trades in.
The real problem with single-currency software
The trouble with most tills is not that they only do one currency — it is that the one currency is hard-coded to somebody else’s country. A distributor in Dublin or a warehouse in Ohio gets a pound sign on every screen, every PDF and every quote, and staff improvise around it forever.
What a team-wide currency setting fixes
The whole system speaks your currency. Set the symbol once — £, $ or € — and the POS, order confirmations, PDFs and quotes all agree. No conversion tab, no “in real money” conversations with your own customers.
