We’re building Grafto Box: a small computer that sits in your office, so your staff can ask it about a client’s documents in their browser. We’d rather ask practices what they need before we build it than after.
From Grafto, the software side of Green & Home Ltd, a trading business in Mildenhall · nothing to buy yet
What we’re building
Staff use it in their browser, like a private ChatGPT. You can ask it about a client’s documents, and it shows which page each answer came from. Each client’s files sit in their own workspace, and staff only see the clients they work on.
Everything runs on the box: nothing goes to us or to any AI company, and it’s built to keep working with the office internet unplugged. It drafts; your staff check and sign off everything it writes.
How we’re building it
What we’ve decided so far.
Staff open it in their web browser, at an address with your firm’s name in it.
Everything works from the box. There’s no remote management and nothing reporting back to us. Updates arrive on a USB stick or at a site visit.
The box runs on a battery backup, so a short power cut doesn’t restart it. Its disk is encrypted, and after a longer cut a named person at your firm unlocks it with a screen and keyboard.
It doesn’t file anything with HMRC, give tax advice or replace your practice software.
The honest bit
We’re talking to accountancy practices first, starting with those within an hour of Bury St Edmunds.
Email us and tell us a little about your practice. Please don’t send client files or client details: we don’t need them.
